Lovely pool, peaceful and beautiful location in comparison to Michelin-star restaurants we visited throughout Italy. Based so close to Orta San Giulio, the supermarket close by and the Lakes of Maggiore and Orta...
There was no breakfast.

The best thing about Hotel Cortese was the view from the rooms
The hotel is very pricy and the comfort was not all that good. I will not recommend this, however I will not recommend against it either.

We had an excellent dinner and the breakfast buffet was also very good. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were extremely helpful and spoke good English. Although not large, our triple room was modern and comfortable. Grounds and pool area very attractive. Good location, very close to Orta, lovely countryside. Altogether a good choice.
The only very slight negative is the proximity to the main road.

The setting of this hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens, a large terrace, and a jaw-dropping swimming pool. The staff at this hotel are beyond amazing - they are incredibly professional, yet also friendly and super helpful. The waiters in the restaurant are charming and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and the hotel's impressive selection of wines. Speaking of the restaurant, the menu is interesting and offers some unusual options, and our evening meal was mind-blowing, the best we had during our three-week trip around Italy. And let's not forget about the outstanding breakfast - it was absolutely superb! The hotel itself is an elegant and comfortable gem, with breathtaking views of the mountains. The breakfast spread is abundant and includes some delightful specialties, as well as great vegan and vegetarian options. While the gym could use some improvements, the staff truly make up for it. They are efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to go above and beyond to help. The dinner options at the hotel were also fantastic and reasonably priced. The rooms may not be the biggest, but they offer all the comfort you could need, and the bathrooms have a modern and elegant design. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is spotless, and there is convenient free parking onsite. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again whenever we are in the area. Our stay was truly unforgettable, thanks to the amazing staff and the love and attention to detail put into every corner of this hotel. Those cozy evenings spent in the restaurant were particularly special, catering to the taste of gourmets like us. It is the perfect place for a peaceful and romantic holiday, with memories that will stay with us for a long time. The overall experience was enjoyable, with modern amenities, great facilities, and a particularly impressive breakfast. And the location is perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle. All the staff members were super friendly and always ready to serve guests with a cheerful attitude.

They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The location of this place is also a major highlight, as it is situated just outside the Lake, offering stunning views of the mountains. The rooms were elegant and comfortable, with modern and stylish bathrooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the free Wi-Fi in rooms was a great convenience. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options, including some delicious specialties and good vegetarian choices. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay, in a beautiful location.
This hotel is a hidden gem, and I recommend it to everyone.

A great option for exploring the lakes area! the hotel is located in a quiet and green area and is just a short drive away from stunning Lake Orta. the breakfast provided here is really impressive. You can expect to enjoy a wide range of delicacies with high-quality ingredients. the terrace area, swimming pool and gardens are great spots to relax and unwind during the day.
It seems like some of the facilities and furniture are in need of an update. the communal areas of the hotel could benefit from a quick makeover to ensure the comfort of guests.
